Some of you might be curious about Power Purchase Agreements, also known as PPA’s. With a PPA, solar panels are installed on your roof with no out of pocket expense to you. A third party builds, owns and maintains the system. You then get the energy that the panels produce at a lower (often much lower) rate than what the electric company charges.
Also, in NJ we have what is known as net metering so when your system generates excess power, it gets sent to the grid.
